Build on segmenting skills by playing the ‘Rhythm Sticks’ game; using sticks or wooden spoons tap out the sounds in CVC words e.g. hat, cat, sat, bat. Get your child to use their sticks to tap out the sounds in the words ‘h’ ‘a’ ‘t’.
Matching - Work with an adult to try and build towers that match. Build towers of a matching height. Do they look the same? Do the towers always need the same amount of blocks?
