Please remember that your child will bring a book home on a Tuesday and a Thursday, based on their reading book band. Please return your child’s existing book on these days.
Q: What if my child has read the book on the first night or two?
A: The reading of a book is important, but understanding what they have read is just as vital to their reading development. Ask your child questions based on who, what, where, when, why and how? Ask your child to identify the main character and tell you about them. Then they could write them down. You could also discuss if the book is a fiction book or a non fiction book.
