Practise segmenting CVC words by playing I spy, e.g. I spy a d-o-g, I spy a b-i-n, asking your child to guess what you can spy.
Give your child mixed up socks and ask them to match them into pairs. How many socks have you got altogether, and how many pairs have you made?
