PE

Physical Education takes place twice a week in each class throughout the school.
Reception children follow the EYFS curriculum. In Key Stage 1 children will work on developing their fundamental movement skills such as running, skipping, throwing and catching. As the children move into Key Stage 2 these skills are continued but they become more sport specific. For example they may develop their throwing and catching to take part in a game of rounders.
Throughout the school the children will take part in many areas of Physical Education, these include, Gymnastics, Dance, Invasion games and Swimming.

The children are also encouraged to take part in the numerous sporting clubs that are run after school.

PE long term plan. This plan shows the curriculum coverage for each year group.
