Activities this Week:
Literacy - In phonics we will learn the following phonemes.
Mrs Kenny/ Mrs Pickup’s group - consolidating s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d, g.
Mrs Stockburn’s group - o, c, k, and the tricky word ‘the’. A tricky word is a word we can not sound out, and just have to remember.
Numeracy - We are learning to recognise and represent the numbers 1, 2, 3. We will use 5 frames to represent the numbers, and find one more than.
PSHE - We are learning about hidden disabilities, and discussing the sunflower lanyard which people may wear if they have a hidden disability.
RE - We begin our topic on special people, looking at Jesus and why he was special. We will identify special people in our school family, and make them certificates.
Understanding the World - we will begin our work on Remembrance Day, making poppies, and discuss why we celebrate bonfire night. We will also discuss staying safe around bonfires.
