Activities this Week:
Literacy - We have been practising segmenting CVC words, and have learn’t the phonemes (sounds) s, a, t. See if your child can recognise these phonemes, and use their reading finger to sound out the word ‘sat’.
RE - We continued our topic of I’m Special. We thought about what we are good at and how we are all different, and that’s ok!
Communication and Language - We have been spending time with our key worker, and taking part in listening activities. Key workers will be sent home in your child’s reading diary.
PE - We have practised working at stations this week, practising the skill of jumping. The children did really well.
Understanding the World - We have begun to think about autumn, and all the changes that happen during this season.
This week practise recognising the phonemes s, a, t. Try to write them using our writing patter, which is found on our class page under ‘Reading and Writing’. Also try to sound out the letters to read the words ‘sat’, ‘at’, ‘as’.
