L.O. To write expanded noun phrases about the Stone Age camp

 

Look at the pictures of the Stone Age camp from the story. Use the mind map below to record any information you can from the pictures about life in the Stone Age camp:

Using some of these ideas we will be writing a description of the Stone Age camp. Identify some of the precise nouns to be used and then some of the adjectives these can be paired with.

Build expanded noun phrases by adding prepositional phrases:

adjective + noun

silver-scaled fish

 

adjective + noun + prepositional phrase

silver-scaled fish on a pointed stick

 

Challenge:

Write some sentences to describe the Stone Age camp using some of your constructed noun phrases.

E.g.

Silver-scaled fish on pointed sticks hung on wooden racks. Around the camp, woven baskets lined with animal fur lay on the floor.
